Comprised of a forged carbon fiber airbox, airduct, transition tube and intake tube with unique couplers, this stunning new intake system features a distinctive marbled finish which combines to unleash the full potential of your 2.5TFSI® EVO 8V.2 RS 3® or 8S TT RS®.

Built with reinforced materials, high quality EPDM couplers and stainless steel hardware, this Forged Carbon Fiber Intake System is more than capable of standing up to the rigors of track use or daily driving while offering improved performance, airflow, throttle response and intoxicating turbo induction sounds.

Unitronic high-quality EPDM silicone couplers offer a superior amount of flexibility over traditional silicone, while still offering the rigidity and strength needed to support high-powered 2.5TFSI engines. Unitronic’s engineers also created a design that allows for smooth, laminar airflow on the inside walls, while maintaining flexibility through the means of a non-collapsing structural rib profile. Unitronic's couplers are designed to perfectly align with the bead rolls on the carbon fiber tubes, to ensure a perfect and seamless connection; hose clamp guides ensure perfect alignment.

Airflow Optimization

To validate its form through function; Unitronic engineers strategically used CFD to maximize the efficiency of this intake system. Every aspect of the design was studied closely, iteration after iteration, until reaching the maximums governed by the laws of physics. This CFD simulation illustrates how well airflow travels through the system. The primary focus was to achieve laminar flow and minimal pressure drop in all areas of the design. The result of this is an increase in volumetric efficiency.

 

Airflow Validations

Using its in-house Superflow SF-1020 Flow Bench, Unitronic Engineers previously validated designs to ensure that this Intake System effectively optimizes airflow in a variety of conditions. The OEM intake yielded a peak flow rate of 595 CFM at 28” of H2O (Aq), while the Unitronic 4” Intake System achieved 1118 CFM with the Race Filter for a gain of 88% over the OEM Intake and flowed 1095 CFM with the Sport Filter, a gain of 84% over the OEM Intake.

 

Install

The Unitronic 4" Forged Carbon Fiber Intake System for vehicles equipped with the 2.5 TFSI EVO engine is designed to be simple to install with all the necessary hardware included. Installation time will take approximately one hour including the removal of the factory intake and installation of your new Unitronic Intake system.

NOTE: Please make sure to purchase the MY19+ Intake Adapter for model year 2019+ equipped with the 2.5TFSI DAZA engine.

NOTE: A Unitronic 4" Turbo Inlet Elbow is required in order to fit this Intake System onto the 2.5TFSI EVO DAZA engine.
